Group Therapy at Healing Focus Counseling
Are any of these situations familiar to you?
- You keep worrying about the same problem over and over.
- You wish you could trust someone with your secret struggle.
- You want to stop feeling so alone in what you’re going through.
- You’re interested in therapy but want to try something less intense than individual sessions.
- You wish you felt more understood by others.
- You’re looking for expert help to improve your life.
If so, group therapy might be the perfect fit for you.
Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences. These therapist-guided sessions provide a supportive environment where you can learn more about yourself and develop strategies to improve your emotional well-being, all while feeling the support of others who understand your journey.
For children and teens, being in social situations doesn’t always mean feeling understood. We offer small groups (6-8 clients each) to support various needs:
- Social Emotional Group: Learn social skills in a supportive setting. We offer one group for pre-teens and another for young teens.
- Attachment and Relationships: For those who struggled early in life due to family issues, abuse, addiction, medical problems, foster care, or adoption. We offer one group for pre-teens and another for young teens.
- Young Adults Transition and Social Group: For teens transitioning to adulthood and seeking meaningful social interactions.
- Parenting the Neurodivergent: A group for parents to receive psychoeducation and support, learning from each other’s experiences.
