Angela Gerritsen, LCSW
My goal in the therapeutic room is for clients to feel connected to their process in a fluid and nonjudgmental space. The center of therapy is learning how to develop a flexible mindset about how you think, feel, and behave as you progress toward personal goals. Clients are taught practical coping skills that fit their journey of healing, recovery, and connection. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed care, person-centered, process-oriented, and solution-focused. I use evidence-based interventions tailored to a client’s needs. During the past ten years, I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing critical life adjustment, severe anxiety, depression, mood disorder, trauma, and other complex mental health issues impacting personal relationships, family systems, and professional lives. In my personal life, I live in a way that I hope aligns with the values that I demonstrate in my work. I cherish the time I spend with my family and animals.
